Presentation of the Modern Arabic Method
A Quest for Arabic Language is a 4-volume method (Volume 1, level A1, now available) that fills a unique gap: combining concrete, spoken Arabic practice with an immersion in Arab civilization and literature.
Who is this method for?
Anyone drawn to Arab culture, literature, and civilization — not just for religious reasons. It is suitable for both teachers and self-learners.
A journey through history
Each volume corresponds to a major era in Arab civilization:
- Volume 1 (A1) — Pre-Islamic Arabia: ancient poetry, cities of Arabia, cuisine, the language of the Quran
- Volume 2 — From Medina to Umayyad Damascus: hadith, biographies, history, calligraphy, sciences
- Volume 3 — Abbasid Baghdad: One Thousand and One Nights, Andalusia, literature
- Volume 4 — Ottoman and modern era: contemporary cultural and literary upheavals
A method focused on speaking
The method places strong emphasis on oral expression — the most challenging skill at beginner level. It develops all 4 language skills and draws on online resources: audio files, grammar summaries, interactive PowerPoint files.
