Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Qur'anic Arabic and Modern Arabic?+

Qur'anic Arabic (or Classical Arabic) is the language of the Qur'an, based on the grammar and vocabulary of the 7th century. Modern Standard Arabic (fusha) is derived from it and is used today in the press, literature, and education. The core grammar is shared; vocabulary and some expressions differ.

Do I need to know Arabic to understand the Qur'an?+

Direct understanding of the Qur'anic text requires mastery of the grammar and vocabulary of Qur'anic Arabic. Our methods offer a progressive approach that leads to autonomous understanding, without relying on translation.

How long does it take to reach a good level?+

Depending on pace and consistency, the A2 level (basic understanding) can be reached in 6 to 12 months with our complete A1-A2 methods including audios, exercises, and grammar.

Do the methods include audios and exercises?+

Yes. Each method includes native audios, progressive activities, grammar and comprehension exercises, as well as downloadable digital materials.

Can I learn on my own without group classes?+

Absolutely. Our methods are designed for self-learning: detailed explanations, included answer keys, audios for pronunciation. Online courses are available for those who want guided support.
